Nematodes Problem: Prevention & Resolution
Nematodes వచ్చినపుడు ఎలాంటి నివారణ చర్యలు చేపట్టాలి…సభ్యులందరూ పాల్గొని వారి కున్న knowledge అందరితో షేర్ చేసుకోండి … తెలియని వారికి తెలియచేసిన వారు అవుతారు.
Prevention
Add PL(Paecilomyces lilacinus) or EPN(entamo pathogenic nematodes) to soil/ potting mix. Mulching the soil makes PL or EPN work for a long time Keep french marigold plants in pots.
Using owdc can also solve Nematodes Problem
Measures to be taken after nematodes identification
When nematodes are identified, remove plant and dry the soil in full sun for 10 days and add PL or EPN for reusing soil.
1. Before plantation mixing of soil with neem seed kernel powder+ using entamo pathogenic nematodes will prevent nematodes problem.
2. Plantation of marigold will control nematodes.
3.Change in crop will also be a helping to control these kind of bacteria or fungi.
4. After harvesting drying the soil in full sun and using it will make less effect of nematodes.
Gomuthram and cow dung manure also help to resolve the Nematode problem to a great extent. Meke sure, We drench the soil with gomuthram. And allow the soil to dry completely. The same soil can be used after a couple of months.
