It’s time to mulch in the gardens
Mulching is covering the top layer of the soil to keep the soil moist, increase microbial activity.
1. Dried leaves
2. Coconut husk (kobbari peechu)
3. Dried peels of veggies and fruits.
4. Cardboard pieces
5. Cotton white clothes
6. Jute fibres
7. Dried cow dung
8. Place small containers/ grow bags in big containers.
9. As a multi layer farming we can grow leafy veggies except ponaganti, thotakura and gongura as they will like to share food with other plants.
By the time rainy season starts, the mulch will be converted into compost. And it increases the volume of earthworms in the soil
It will reduce the water intake of the plant.
